LAKEPORT, Calif. – The GenX Cinema series presents the 1989 comedy “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport.
Entry is by donation.
Written by John Hughes and starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo and Randy Quaid, this third film in the “National Lampoon” series follows the Griswold family’s wayward attempts to celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas.
It’s a perfect concoction of goofy entertainment with enough sight gags to please slapstick fans and enough good-natured Christmas cheer to warm everyone’s heart.
The film is rated PG with run time of 1 hour 37 minutes.
“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” is sponsored by Grandma Cheese’s Cookies and presented by the Lake County Theatre Co. and the Soper Reese Theatre.
The Soper Reese Theatre is located at 275 S. Main St., Lakeport, 707-263-0577, www.soperreesetheatre.com.
