KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Immediately following the Kelseyville Pear Festival on Saturday, Sept. 30, a concert featuring well-known Ukiah recording artist John Mattern will take place at the Fore Family Tasting Room, 3520 Main St.
The concert begins at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
Wine and appetizers will be available during the concert.
The cost to attend is $10 per person, with tickets available at Watershed Books in Lakeport, at www.uuclc.org and at the door.
Back by popular demand, John Mattern is an eclectic multi-instrumentalist, blending influences of folk, rock, country, jazz and blues into a style uniquely his own.
Soul, funk and a touch of Willie Nelson, Peter Gabriel, Merle Haggard, Beethoven, Townes Van Zandt, James McMurtry and Miles Davis have all influenced Mattern’s style.
The concert is presented by the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County, as one of their Coffeehouse Concert series.
“This is a musician who puts his heart and soul into his work. He is extremely talented and entertaining,” said organizer Michael Richeson.
