First Sunday Fiddlers’ Jam planned at Ely Stage Stop Sept. 3

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The California Old Time Fiddlers Association continues its monthly First Sunday Fiddlers’ Jam sessions in the Ely barn on Sunday, Sept. 3.

The museum opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. and the musicians will meet in the Ely barn to perform their wonderful Americana music from noon until 2 p.m.

The event is free, but donations made during the event benefit both the Ely Stage Stop and the Old Time Fiddlers Association, helping to fund their scholarship programs.

Come early to enjoy the newest museum acquisitions and displays. Take a hayride or stroll the barn trail. Enjoy the music with beverages and treats provided by the Ely volunteers. Bring your own wine and sip it in Ely Stage Stop wine glasses that are available for purchase.

These events help promote the current project which is the blacksmith shop and further the interaction of the local community with the history of Lake County and the Ely Stage Stop.

The expansion of the blacksmith shop is currently in Phase II and nearing completion and we are looking forward to further progress on this soon to be working blacksmith shop.
