Roy Zimmerman to perform in Kelseyville Aug. 11

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – “What can one person do about racism, gun violence, climate change, income inequality, bigotry, ignorance, war and greed?” asks satirist Roy Zimmerman.
The answer, says Zimmerman: “Write funny songs.”
Zimmerman will perform in Kelseyville on Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m.
The performance, entitled “ReZist,” will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County, 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.
The cost is $20 per person.
ReZist is 90 minutes of Zimmerman’s original songs, a funny and forceful affirmation of peace and social justice.
Of this performance, Zimmerman says he is “bringing laughter and encouragement to progressive-minded people.”
Zimmerman’s songs have been heard on HBO and Showtime. He has shared stages with Bill Maher, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, John Oliver, Kate Clinton and George Carlin.
He has been profiled on NPR's "All Things Considered," and is a featured blogger for the Huffington Post.
