FINLEY, Calif. – On Saturday, July 8, Big Valley Hall will host a Blues Benefit from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1510 Big Valley Road.
This is a mutual benefit for Hope City to rebuild homes lost to the 2015 and 2016 wildland fires whose owners had insufficient insurance. Proceeds will also help improve sound at Big Valley Hall for future benefit concerts.
The July 8 blues benefit is the seventh benefit to assist fire survivors produced by Spotlight On Productions in partnership with The Time Bank of Thrive Lake County.
Guitarist Richie Blue of Fresno will be bringing blues, rockabilly and swamp rock to get folks dancing.
He will be backed by Bay Area musicians Rick Sankey on drums and Steve Evans on bass. Special guest TC Culp will bring his harmonica from Ukiah.
Admission is $10 per person. Bring extra cash for wine and beer, soda, water, homemade cookies. Credit cards cannot be accepted.
Local wines have been donated for sale by R Vineyards in Middletown, Frey Organic Wines of Hopland and Parducci Wine Cellars of Ukiah. Craft beer was donated by Bear Republic in Cloverdale.
