LAKE COUNTY – The current and previous Lake County Poets Laureate have chosen three poets to appear as finalists in the selection process for the Poet Laureate 2010-12.

Those three finalists are Russell Reza-'Khaliq Gonzaga, Michelle Berger and Elaine Watt.

The public is invited to participate in the final selection event, “Select and Celebrate,” which will take place beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at the Lake County Arts Council Gallery, 325 N. Main St., Lakeport.

Following the reading, the judges will convene to evaluate each finalist’s performance and announce their choice of the poet laureate.

The event will be broadcast live on KPFZ, 88.1 FM.

Travis Rinker will provide music and refreshments will be served.
