The new site has a slightly different method for accessing or creating a user account. This short video illustrates the new login / signup processes and provides some methods to try if you are experience login issues.

Locate the 'Login' and 'Create and account' section of the site located in the upper right corner of the page above the masthead and follow along with the video if you already have a user account on lakeconews.com.

In the video we'll create an account, then we'll log in using that account. To create an account you will need an email address so you can activate the account. We created an account at Yahoo.com but your email will be different and unique to you.

Things to try if you have login problems:

• When you log in you get a blank white page - This might be a caching issue so you can try to log out and log back in again to see if that does it or you can clear the cache on your browser to see if that fixes it. If those fail send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for help.
• You get a message about user name and password not matching - Try to remember what email you used to sign up and have the site send you a reset link.
