Purrfect Pals: New kittens and Sulphur fire cats available for adoption

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Animal Care and Control has new kittens this week and is expected to begin offering cats rescued from the Sulphur fire area for adoption to the general public.

The Sulphur fire cats this week are coming off a 30-day holding period to allow them to be reclaimed before being made available for adoption.

Lake County Animal Care and Control is located at 4949 Helbush in Lakeport, next to the Hill Road Correctional Facility.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
