LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Hot weather is in the forecast again for this weekend in the lead up to the Independence Day holiday.

The National Weather Service said high pressure moving over the West Coast will bring clear skies and above-normal temperatures this weekend.

By the time Independence Day rolls around on Tuesday, forecasters predict that there will be a slight cooling off that will put the daytime highs at around the normal temperatures for early July.

The specific Lake County forecast calls for daytime highs topping out from the low to mid 90s from Friday through Sunday, with nighttime lows in the low 60s.

On Monday and Tuesday – Independence Day – daytime temperatures are forecast to be in the high 80s. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the high 50s.

Similar temperatures are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
