3.3 earthquake reported near The Geysers

THE GEYSERS, Calif. – A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was reported near The Geysers geothermal steamfield Monday morning.

The quake occurred at 7:43 a.m. six miles northwest of The Geysers and 15 miles southwest of Clearlake, at a depth of 1.8 miles, according to the US Geological Survey.

As of shortly after 9 a.m., the survey had received shake reports from Kelseyville, Calistoga and Cloverdale.

No quakes of 3.0 magnitude or above have been reported since early in December, according to a review of US Geological Survey records.
